   Proposal Description:
   Alzheimer???s disease is thought to have some hereditary basis however, this is largely based on a small number of twin studies. The degree to which AD is heritable is important for counseling patients and families as well as judging the completeness of our knowledge of genetic risk. Thus, we aim to estimate the heritability of AD using family history data collected by NACC on individuals with normal cognition and individuals with AD.
